Storks on lineIntroEvery year millions of migrating birds leave their nesting places and fly due south. Join us and let us follow some of them on their way. Every bird carries a communication set that enables to track its position. This year, a complete family of black stork (Ciconia nigra) left for Africa.
You are going to see:Last known coordinates of the storks - current positions of the storks; may be drawn into a map; distances among the birds/total from the nest in the Rakovnik area.Krystof and Dominika - coordinate archive for the stork "parents"; individual stops/the whole journey may be drawn into a map. Baby storks - the same archive as the previous one; contains data for Otakar, Karel a Vaclav. Sissi - coordinate archive for the stork come from Innsburck zoo and which Krystof and Dominika adopted. Affrican Odyssey - everything you ever wanted to know about the project. Kristyna LIVE - from May to August 1998, live Internet sessions have been broadcast right from the black storks’ nest.
